Scones of Figs and Burgos Cheese

  • Delicious sweet without added sugars.

Ingredients (6 people)

  • 250g of LaCuba dried figs
  • 250g of flour
  • 100g of Burgos Cheese
  • 100 ml of milk
  • 50 g of butter
  • 50 g of ground almond
  • 12 g of yeast
  • 5 g of salt


  • Leave the figs without stem in warm water for 2 hours.
  • Mix the figs with the milk in the blander.
  • Put the mixture in a bowl with flour, yeast, sugar, salt, butter, the Burgos Cheese and the almonds.
  • Mix all the ingredients until getting an uniform sticky dough. Let it settle half an hour in the fridge.
  • Preheat the oven to 190ºC and then put it down to 180º C.
  • In an oven tray add a lamina of vegetal paper to avoid the scones sticking in tha tray. Put pieces of the dough in the tray with the desired form.
  • Cook for 300 or 35 minutes until they are brown. Take out drom the oven and let them cool.

Plate Up
Put each portion in a plate accompanied with some sweet or salad food, or just with milk, coffee or tea.
