Altough dried figs are cultivated since 9000 B.C., until recently the health benefits of them were not scientifically proven:

- Source rich in potassium (550mg / 100g), sodium, calcium, iron, phosphorus, magnesium and vitamins A, B and C.

- Source of carbohydrates, 76.4 g / 100 g of glucose, sucrose and fructose, (natural sugars)

- Source of soluble and insoluble fibers (2.2 g / 100g). - Vegetable protein source (3.1g / 100g)

- Almost no fat.

It is also a fruit very appreciated in the kitchen, can be eaten alone, filled with walnuts or almonds, with chocolate and can be used in many
sweet and savory dishes.
